“I’m not at the CDC, but from what I’ve seen they’ve just been incredibly corrupt,” Ladapo said during an interview with former Trump adviser Steve Bannon on his “War Room Pandemic” show hosted by Real America’s Voice.
Dr. Ladapo, who earned his MD from Harvard Medical School and his Ph.D. from Harvard University, was appointed to lead Florida’s health department last year. In his role, he has frequently spoken out about COVID-19 jabs, lockdowns, mask mandates, and other restrictions.
Last week, Ladapo generated controversy and was even temporarily censored on Twitter when he published the results of a study that found an “84% increase in the relative incidence of cardiac-related death among males 18-39 years old within 28 days following mRNA vaccination.

In his interview with Bannon, in which he broke down the study’s findings and implications, Ladapo said the CDC has “done just the most absurd things during this pandemic.”
The top Florida health expert said the CDC has “been so bereft of any integrity,” arguing the agency engaged in “cherry-picking of studies” to promote mask mandates for school kids.
Dozens of studies have shown that forced masking is harmful, particularly for children. The CDC itself acknowledged in 2020 that that masks can’t be relied upon to protect against COVID if a masked person spends 15 minutes or longer within six feet of an infected person.
“I’m sure they either don’t ask questions they don’t want to know the answers to, or if they get answers they don’t like, those answers get shoved in a desk drawer,” Ladapo told Bannon. “I have no doubt. They are just profoundly, profoundly corrupt.”
During the interview, Ladapo also praised Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis for bucking the federal government’s directives on draconian pandemic response strategies, and suggested that unlike the CDC, he and DeSantis have acted with integrity with their freedom-centered pandemic approach.
“Shying away from the truth just to not tick off Pfizer, that’s not in my playbook,” he said.
Ladapo’s comments come after a Pfizer executive told a committee of the European Parliament earlier this week that the Pfizer shots hadn’t been tested to find out if they could stop transmission of the virus.
The statement has once again sparked debate over the legality of COVID-19 vaccine mandates if the companies producing the drugs didn’t know whether their products could stop community spread.
