Activist group Project Veritas published on Oct. 3 undercover footage showing Tyler Wrynn, who admitted to indoctrinating children against their parents' will. He justified his indoctrination as necessary to achieve his end goal of overthrowing the American system of government.
Wrynn teaches English to eight grade students at Will Rogers College Middle and High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, under the purview of Tulsa Public Schools.
The self-described "anarchist" educator also admitted to taking issue with parents who get involved in their children's education.
"So, I have a rather large TikTok following; I'm an authority figure," he said. "So, I [publish] a Christmas message of: 'Hey, if your parents don't love and support you for who you are this Christmas, f**k them. I'm your parent now. I love you. Drink some water. I'm proud of you.'"
Wrynn also expounded on his issues with religion. "Eventually, you want to remove Christianity – or religion [as a whole] – from progressive thought, because religion is inherently hierarchical," he said.
However, the teacher remarked that he fears losing his job under Oklahoma's House Bill (HB) 1775.
"The only thing that's a problem here is that HB 1775 or something. I can get my [teaching] license revoked for it," he told the undercover journalist. "Trust me, I want to burn down the entire system." The bill mandates the Oklahoma State Board of Education (SBE) "to prohibit discrimination," and one section of the bill grants parents and legal guardians of students enrolled in the Sooner State the right to "inspect curriculum, instructional materials, classroom assignments and lesson plans."
Project Veritas founder James O'Keefe pressed Wrynn about the footage, to which the educator responded: "If I speak about religion in the classroom, I can get [my teaching license] revoked, yes. But I don't."
Prior to the Oct. 3 expose by Project Veritas, Wrynn had been flagged by the Libs of TikTok Twitter account over a video he posted. That video where he insulted the parents of his students over their refusal to conform to transgender ideology was also the "Christmas message" Wrynn talked about with the undercover journalist.
Back in April 2022, Libs of TikTok reposted the Christmas message on its Twitter account. Word of Wrynn's social media post went viral, eventually reaching officials at Owasso Public Schools (OPS). The anarchist teacher had been working with the school district at that time.
According to the Twitter account known for exposing grooming and indoctrination in American public schools, Wrynn was fired following "complaints of grooming," including the Christmas message post and other posts "containing questionable content" being brought to authorities' attention.
OPS Communications Director Jordan Korphage confirmed that "Tyler Wrynn is no longer in the classroom, and the SBE accepted his resignation on April 11 at its regular monthly meeting." He added: "As this is a personnel issue, we are unable to provide further comment."
The anarchist educator himself shared details about his termination on the Advocating for Owasso LGBTQIA+ Youth Facebook group.
"Unfortunately, the district is letting me go. I'll be on administrative leave for the rest of the year, so at least they are going to pay out the rest of my contract. Again, thank you for your support. I guess I was a little too vocal about supporting our LGBTQIA+ kids."
However, the fact that Wrynn managed to resume his teaching duties at Tulsa Public Schools means that he may have found other left-leaning allies at the school district. This would enable him to start indoctrinating his students to "overthrow the existing system" anew.
Watch Tyler Wrynn divulge his plans to "burn down the system" in the undercover footage below.
