Suddenly, a movement called "LGBWithoutTheT" was trending on the platform without the usual censorship – an about-face compared to how Twitter was treating anti-trans sentiment prior to Sept. 11, 2022.
Just a month prior, Twitter made headlines for banning the "Gays Against Groomers" group for engaging in "hateful conduct" against those with gender dysphoria. Now, Twitter seems to be okay with the sentiment.
"For those not familiar with Twitter, at any given time about five or six stories are prominently featured as 'trending,'" writes Jack Cashill for American Thinker.
"Twitter claims that trends are 'tailored for you based on your location and who you follow,' but then adds a critical disclaimer: 'There will be many world and local news events and conversations that will appear in your trends regardless of your personalization.'"
It would seem as though the trans movement is not exactly the look that Democrats are vying for moving into midterm elections season. Apparently genital mutilation of children is not drawing in the votes needed to win this November.
So, with the help of its Big Tech partners, the Left appears to be pivoting away from the trans insanity – at least for now – by allowing gays and lesbians who oppose being lumped in with the trans to speak their minds on social media.
"I have nothing in common with activists who are trying to sterilise children and invade sex specific places," one bisexual woman tweeted.
"It's sad that I don't even identify as someone within the LGBTQ community anymore because of one small group of extremists."
Another, a gay man, added that removing body parts and insisting on using the wrong locker room or bathroom "is not LGB."
"Wanting to compete against women as a man is not LGB," he added. "Wanting to give puberty blockers and sex change hormones to children is not LGB."
Another LGB named "Sasha" emphasized that she has nothing in common with transgenders or their movement because it "is so determined to turn (mostly gay and autistic) kids into lifelong medical patients [that] drag opponents to court regularly."
"I want nothing to do with this lunacy," Sasha added.
Another gripe that LGBs have with the Ts is that the Ts are demanding that the LGBs desire them and want to date them. Trans "women," aka men in dresses with mental illness, want lesbian women to be interested in them when it does not work like that.
"I am not sexually attracted to somebody with a penis – even if they dress up like a woman," one lesbian said, scoffing at the idea that she is somehow "transphobic" for feeling this way.
Another gay pointed out the irony of gays and lesbians now being told that they need their own form of conversion therapy to learn how to be attracted to transgenders.
"Bless their hearts, now we can get back to the regular down-home deviancy we all know and love," wrote an American Thinker commenter sarcastically about the fight between the LGBs, which have largely been normalized in American culture, and the Ts, which are the new "shock" perversion class of deviants.
"Seems like LGBs are being hung by their own ilk," added another about all this perversion infighting.
"It appears that we are living in a science fiction fantasy," wrote another. "If only this was all fiction, then it would be laughed at for the absurdity it is."
