5G rollout must be stopped to avoid widespread exposure to EMF and RF radiation
By Kevin Hughes // Aug 18, 2022

Exposure to electromagnetic fields (EMF) and radio frequency (RF) radiation is an increasing health risk in today's world and the push for the rollout of 5G could further enhance it.

The Cellular Phone Task Force website has a lengthy list of governments and organizations that have given warnings or banned wireless technologies of different kinds and under varied circumstances since 1993. An extended list of organizations that represent doctors and scientists are among them, as well as an appeal for protection from non-ionizing EMF exposure by more than 230 international EMF scientists to the United Nations in 2015.

More than 180 scientists and doctors from 35 nations called for a suspension on 5G in September 2017 "until potential hazards for human health and the environment have been fully investigated by scientists independent from industry." They pointed out that "RF-EMF has been proven to be harmful to humans and the environment," and that "5G will substantially increase exposure to radiofrequency electromagnetic fields (RF-EMF) on top of the 2G, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, etc. for telecommunications already in place."

According to retired Harvard scientist of applied physics Ronald Powell, "there is no safe way to implement 5G in our communities; rather there are only bad ways and worse ways." Meanwhile, Wall Street analyst Sunil Rajgopal warned that rising health concerns may delay the completion of 5G, noting that some countries have already taken steps to delay its deployment because of health risks.

Belgium and Switzerland have already delayed their 5G rollout to make a system to monitor radiation. Syracuse, New York is also trying to establish several safeguards and has "negotiated the right to conduct on-demand safety inspections of 5G antennas" to ease public concerns. (Related: Brussels halts 5G deployment indefinitely: 5G project, says authorities, not compatible with radiation safety standards.)

During a Senate commerce hearing, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) acknowledged that no 5G safety studies have been done or financed by the agency or telecom industry and that none are planned until now.

EMF exposure at several biological impacting frequencies, such as those that run cell phones and Wi-Fi, has risen about one quintillion times over the past century.

Sadly, EMF exposure is so extensive these days that it is practically impossible to organize controlled population studies now, as no population is really unexposed or unaffected. This lack of a control group makes it very hard to decide what the real-world effects are.

People are now living and working in electrified surroundings. Shortly, 5G may be included in the mix, making exposures all the more complicated and possibly harmful.

Another problem 5G brings is the addition of the millimeter wave (MMW), which has a bandwidth that runs from 30 gigahertz (GHz) to 300GHz and can penetrate up to two millimeters into human skin tissue. This is exactly why MMW was selected for use in crowd control weapons or Active Denial Systems by the Department of Defense. MMW is also used in "naked body scanners" at airports.

Sweat ducts in human skin can act as receptors or antennas for 5G radiation

Research has also shown that sweat ducts in human skin can act as receptors or antennas for 5G radiation by drawing the radiation into the body and causing an increase in temperature, which has a painful effect.

"The deployment of 5G, or fifth-generation cellular technology, constitutes a massive experiment on the health of all species. Because MMWs are weaker than microwaves, they are predominantly absorbed by the skin, meaning their distribution is quite focused there," Dr. Joel Moskowitz, a public health professor at the University of California, said about the harmful effects of 5G.

The International Society of Doctors for the Environment, including its subsidiaries in 27 countries and more than 200 doctors and scientists, has also called for a stop to the 5G rollout because of worry that 5G RF radiation will have adverse health effects.

Dr. Martin Pall, professor emeritus of biochemistry and basic medical sciences at Washington State University, explained that EMF produces excess oxidative stress that results in mitochondrial dysfunction.

Based on Pall's research, radio frequency microwave radiation from cell phones and wireless routers activates the voltage-gated calcium channels (VGCCs) placed on the outer membrane of human cells.

As stated by Pall, VGCCs are 7.2 million times more sensitive to microwave radiation than the charged particles inside and outside human cells, which means that the safety standards for this exposure are off by a factor of 7.2 million.
