Russ Vought of the Center for Renewing America and Tarren Bragdon of the Foundation for Government Accountability warned that the Biden administration wants to use federal government resources for political, get-out-the-vote purposes. They added that "strong leaders in state and local government" must act quickly to foil Washington's electoral fraud attempt. "We strongly urge those in positions of power to stop Biden's power grab and act soon," they wrote.
Mollie Hemingway, editor-in-chief at the Federalist and a Fox News contributor, reported the move initiated by the government watchdogs.
According to Vought and Bragdon, the strategy amounted to a "backdoor approach that's designed to ensure Democratic victories at the polls in 2022 and beyond." They pointed to similarities with Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg's scheme to destabilize the 2020 presidential elections by launching get-out-the-vote operations in Democrat-controlled areas of some swing states. The Facebook founder made use of the Chicago-based nonprofit Center for Tech and Civil Life (CTCL) for this nefarious endeavor. Vought and Bragdon also mentioned that Biden is taking advantage of a loyal federal bureaucracy "with increasing brazenness." He wielded the power and influence of Washington to influence polls by means of increasing the Democratic voter registration and turnout.
The issue arose from Biden's 2021 executive order demanding that all 600 federal agencies encourage voter registration and turnout. Many agencies subsequently drafted plans to turn federal facilities – most especially those that deliver federal benefits – into voter registration sites. These included the Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Housing and Urban Development and Department of Labor.
However, Vought and Bragdon noted that the National Voting Rights Act authorizes states to designate voter registration sites beyond those mandated under federal law. They added that the federal government cannot designate additional agencies as voter registration sites unless Congress amends laws related to it.
Hemingway reported: "When federal agencies send 'guidance' memorandums to state agencies about turning federal benefit centers into voter registration agencies, [the two] recommend state officials contact those agencies and order them not to implement that guidance because it is illegal at worst and unethical and partisan at best."
Things would have been smooth sailing for the Democratic Party had Vought and Bragdon not exposed their scheme to control the midterms. But even if they succeed, the Democrats would still be in a conundrum.
According to the New York Post, Democrats finally admitted that Biden may be in over his head to run for president in 2024. But assuming that he voluntarily steps aside for the polls that year, the party doesn't have a viable replacement.
The Democratic Party has the weakest possible bench, said the Post.
Both incumbent Vice President Kamala Harris and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg are terrible choices. The three prominent lawmakers who ran for the primaries – Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar, New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren – are not good enough. Meanwhile, long-time aspirants such as Sen. Bernie Sanders and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton have already lost their appeal.
Aside from viable candidate, the Democratic Party also had issues with its platform as it is no longer clear what it stands for. While Biden may consider himself a moderate, his actions and proposals leaned so extremely far left that it made former President Barack Obama look moderate himself.
The radical ideas of the Biden administration and its allies in Congress – student loan forgiveness, racial favoritism, reparations, police defunding and transgender advocacies in schools – came with exorbitant price tags. Meanwhile, families and local business were saddled with massive inflation.
