The backlash against the Department of Homeland Security’s plans to stand up a “Disinformation Governance Board” which conservative critics branded an Orwellian “Ministry of Truth” that they claimed would police speech and censor Americans must have been strong.
Because the board is being shelved, according to reports, and its first reported director, Nina Jankowicz, is said to be resigning from the administration.
“Now, just three weeks after its announcement, the Disinformation Governance Board is being ‘paused,’ according to multiple employees at DHS, capping a back-and-forth week of decisions that changed during the course of reporting of this story,” the Washington Post reported.
“On Monday, DHS decided to shut down the board, according to multiple people with knowledge of the situation. By Tuesday morning, Jankowicz had drafted a resignation letter in response to the board’s dissolution.”
“But Tuesday night, Jankowicz was pulled into an urgent call with DHS officials who gave her the choice to stay on, even as the department’s work was put on hold,” the Post continued.
The writer of the story, Taylor Lorenz -- known most recently for complaining about being doxxed after she doxxed the once-anonymous Twitter user known as "Libs of TikTok," which exposes left-wing lunacy -- subsequently tweeted that Jankowicz resigned.

A spokesperson for DHS was cited in defense of Jankowicz arguing, “Nina Jankowicz has been subjected to unjustified and vile personal attacks and physical threats. In congressional hearings and in media interviews, the Secretary has repeatedly defended her as eminently qualified and underscored the importance of the Department’s disinformation work, and he will continue to do so.”
Interestingly, the Disinformation Governance Board's first czarina, Jankowicz, has been involved in Western deep state disinformation operations in connection with a group known as the "Integrity Initiative," which was actually funded by Western governments and NATO. According to an extensive report by Revolver News, the objective of the initiative was to subvert western governments using disinformation campaigns.
But Lorenz's actions in doxxing the Libs of TikTok account are also sinister and were tied to a similar Western deep state-aligned cabal that targets critics of the regime:
First, here is Lorenz whining about having done to her what she did to the Libs account a few short weeks later:
This was Taylor Lorenz a couple of weeks ago.
She was crying victim of "harassment”.
Today she tracked down and harassed family members of the @libsoftiktok account for an article she’s working on.
It turns out Taylor’s the perpetrator, not victim.pic.twitter.com/CifXGvASCV

In a separate report, Revolver News also revealed the operation behind the doxxing of the account:
Lorenz may be repulsive, to say the least. She certainly courted, assiduously, all the hatred coming her way. But there is a bigger story here. This incident is a case study in how the ruling regime uses cutout “NGOs” and “hackers” to target dissidents for annihilation. It wasn’t Taylor Lorenz who doxed Libs of TikTok. Lorenz is a used-up cocktail waitress for the regime. She’s far too talentless to achieve such a feat. Instead, it was a motley crew of regime actors.
The original doxer of the woman behind Libs of TikTok was an Antifa Twitter user named @karmaonesixone who gloated last weekend about using sleuth work to uncover the account’s original tweets and name.
"Another Twitter user, Travis Brown, promoted and confirmed @karmaonesixone’s work, then went on to unearth and reveal even more information about the woman behind LibsofTikTok," the report continued.
We should have seen this coming because the Democrat-aligned deep state left always telegraphs what they are doing: Once they started accusing Donald Trump of being a dupe of Russia and began focusing on "Russian disinformation," it was obvious that they were trafficking in disinformation.
And now the regime is conducting a misdirection operation as well. Things are not what they seem.
