By Ramon Tomey // Apr 28, 2022

Attorney Tom Renz discussed Pastor David Scarlett's Twitter ban during the April 26 edition of his Brighteon.TV program "Lawfare with Tom Renz." Scarlett, who hosts "His Glory" on the platform, joined his fellow host to expound on the ban.

Renz gave the floor to the prime mover behind His Glory Ministries to explain the circumstances behind his ban and subsequent reinstatement on the social media platform.

"So on Good Friday, the holiest of weekends for Christians, we [tweeted] a post with Jesus on the cross [that] said 'It is finished.' He's taken it to the cross so it is finished, that's it – quoting the Gospel of John," explained Scarlett.

According to Scarlett, rapper MC Hammer saw the tweet, prompting him to follow the ministry's Twitter account. The rap artist, known for his song "U Can't Touch This," subsequently loved the Good Friday post and retweeted it to his 3.3 million followers.

Scarlett continued: "We got some information back from Twitter saying 'Do you realize that a big subscriber [base] of 3.3 million is sending this out?' So basically, [we were told to] be prepared. I didn't know it was a warning shot [at] first, but it was. Within an hour, they shut us down without a warning or any strikes."

The pastor added that the His Glory Ministries' Twitter account was banned without any reason "other than MC Hammer retweeting a post that went viral about Jesus taking it to the cross."

"Fast forward to Resurrection Sunday. I'm praying and meditating: 'Lord, what do you want me to do with this? You want me to sit back? I don't care if I'm on Twitter or not; do you want me to move forward with this?' He said: 'My son, I want you to take it to the world – and this is going to boomerang back on Twitter.'"

True enough, the His Glory Ministries Twitter account was reinstated on April 25 after its ban on Good Friday, April 15.

Account reinstatement coincides with Elon Musk's purchase of Twitter

Renz congratulated his fellow Brighteon.TV host over the reinstatement. He commented: "It's interesting how God does that. Now 3.3 million people who follow MC Hammer are aware of His Glory, and I'm guessing a fair number of them probably weren't aware of you before that."

Twitter's lifting of the ban on His Glory coincided with technology bigwig Elon Musk's purchase of the social media platform. The CEO of SpaceX and Tesla bought out the Big Tech firm for $44 billion, which its board accepted eight days after Resurrection Sunday last April 17. Musk also announced that the company would go private following the $44 billion deal.

However, Scarlett believes that there is an ulterior motive to the ban on His Glory Ministries.

"They intentionally did it on Good Friday and [the] Easter weekend to send a shot across the bow. If they can take down His Glory [with] which we reach 20 million people in every country worldwide, if they can take down a Christian organization that's spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ, they've won," he told Renz. "[But] they didn't expect us to go out, fight back and get the word out on many of the different media sources – other than just the His Glory TV platform."

Scarlett gave this piece of advice in response to a question from Renz about Big Tech and other tyrants setting their sights on faith first: "We have to trust in the Most High God and have that faith at the right time. He's [going to] say what He does, mean what He says and says what He means. Because when He gave me that prophetic word on Resurrection Sunday, it came true in eight days. He said: 'The world will know about this, and it will boomerang on [Twitter].' They literally got sold eight days later." (Related: Ann Vandersteel says Big Tech censorship she has experienced was a blessing in disguise – Brighteon.TV.)
