With skyrocketing murder rates in major cities and mayhem at the southern border, the country’s alleged top cop, Attorney General Merrick Garland, is focused on going after parents for voicing legitimate concerns at local school board meetings.

And law-abiding citizens have every right to be concerned, according to Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., who warned that Americans should "be afraid of your government."
"Moms at school boards are being told that they’re criminals, potential domestic terrorists, for the crime of dissent, and I think criminalizing dissent is something that we should all be appalled with," Paul said Thursday, in response to Garland’s recent pronouncement that the FBI could be used to target parents who speak out at school board meetings.
Garland, who has family ties with a company that profits from promoting Critical Race Theory, went into hysterics after the National School Board Association complained to the Biden administration.
But Paul noted that the parents’ protected speech was a fundamental part of the democratic process, and that the Justice Department’s tactics amounted to intimidation.
"If you go to a school board meeting and you’re disruptive and you don’t obey the rules of the school board meeting, then there will be local punishment," Paul said. "But that has nothing to do with the federal law, it has nothing to do with the Department of Justice."
The Biden administration’s attempts to force conservatives into submission with the threat of weaponizing federal law enforcement if parents decide to exercise their rights to peaceful protest and dissent effectively put the DOJ on a mission to quash opinions that run counter to Biden’s and the Left’s agenda.
"I think the problem is, it’s become so normalized to use government to search out and seek out your opponents," Paul said.
