Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani says Democrat cities conspired to steal election
By Ramon Tomey // Dec 04, 2020

President Donald Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani claimed cities controlled by Democrats conspired to steal the election. During a Nov. 19 press conference in Washington, D.C., Giuliani said he has evidence of an alleged scheme to ensure Democratic nominee Joe Biden wins in key battleground states.

“There’s no doubt about it. This was not an individual idea of 10 to 12 Democrat bosses: This is a plan. They do the same thing, in exactly the same way in 10 big, Democrat-controlled [and] crooked cities,” the former New York City mayor told reporters.

Giuliani also claimed the Trump campaign has at least 10 witnesses who are ready to testify about voter fraud in court, but whose identities cannot be revealed publicly for fear of reprisal. Aside from the witnesses, the former mayor also claimed that he has at least 1,000 sworn affidavits from citizens alleging wrongdoing – which was “enough to overturn any election.”

“If we are going to present things in court … [and] to you, judges are not going to be very happy with us. And finally, I have to tell you: Our witnesses don’t want to be exposed to the tender mercy of a vicious press,” he said.

The former New York City mayor outlined a few instances of vote fraud during the press conference

Giuliani outlined a few cases of vote fraud in key battleground states such as Pennsylvania and Michigan that the Trump campaign pointed out.

The first instance involved a Michigan poll worker who was instructed to predate ballots received after Nov. 3. Giuliani read a sworn affidavit signed by the poll worker: “On Nov. 4, 2020, I was instructed to improperly predate the absentee ballots when the receipt date was after Nov. 3, 2020.” The lawyer added: “We have 100 more of these. I can’t show them to you because these people don’t want to be harassed.”

He then shared another instance of vote fraud in Georgia state: “In the city of Atlanta, Republicans were not allowed to watch the absentee mail-in ballot process: Inspections [were] completely cast aside. [We] have numerous double voters … [and] out-of-state voters, and we have specific evidence of intimidation and changes of vote.”

Following this revelation, Giuliani announced that the Trump campaign will file a lawsuit in Georgia on Nov. 20 with the aforementioned allegations included. He added that the campaign is perusing similar action in Arizona, Virginia and New Mexico. (Related: Trump campaign files series of lawsuits in battleground states against instances of voter fraud.)

Lawyers have dismissed fraud allegations as nonsensical, despite evidence suggesting otherwise

Lawyers serving as defense counsels for election boards and state officials sued by the Trump campaign have argued that the claims of vote fraud are unfounded. One such lawyer is Mark Aronchick, who represented some county election boards in Pennsylvania. Aronchick described Giuliani’s allegations as “disgraceful” during a Nov. 17 court hearing.

The defense counsel urged District Judge Matthew Brann to “please dismiss this case, so we can move on to the real business of this country.”

However, the former mayor-turned-lawyer had already mentioned multiple instances of vote fraud happening right under people’s noses. During an interview with former Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens of America’s Real Voice TV, Giuliani said a witness who worked for Dominion Voting Systems has come forward and given sworn statements testifying that fraud took place in Michigan. Giuliani added that the witness observed “phony ballots” for Biden being brought in the back door, with some “sticking out of paper bags and cardboard boxes.” The said witness overheard people saying the ballots were bring brought in for Biden because “Trump was too far ahead.”

IT worker Melissa Carone corroborated Giuliani’s vote fraud claim. The staff member contracted by Dominion said that she never saw a single Trump ballot during her almost 24-hour shift inside the TCF Center in Detroit. When she reported other discrepancies such as batches of the same 50-ballot group being counted as many as 10 times, she was told “it wasn’t any of Dominion’s business.”
