World Economic Forum wants to take advantage of coronavirus to enact “the Great Reset”
By Cassie B. // Oct 15, 2020

While the COVID-19 pandemic and racial protests destroying American cities have been taking over the headlines, another story has been brewing quietly about a growing movement among some of the most elite businessmen and world leaders to “reset” the global economy.

A June meeting hosted by the World Economic Forum, which was attended by leaders in government, nonprofits, business, activism and academia, put forth plans for what is known as the ominous-sounding “Great Reset”.

The idea behind this “reset” is overhauling the entire planet’s structures and institutions. The World Economic Forum’s founder and executive chairman, Klaus Schwab, wrote: “Every country, from the United States to China, must participate, and every industry, from oil and gas to tech, must be transformed. In short, we need a ‘Great Reset’ of capitalism.”

He added that “the world must act jointly and swiftly to revamp all aspects of our societies and economies, from education to social contracts and working conditions.”

The World Economic Forum says they need to take advantage of the “opportunity” presented by the response and economic decline of coronavirus. In other words, they need to scare people into thinking that these changes can prevent us from experiencing another crisis after COVID-19 fades: climate change.

Prince Charles said at the meeting: “The threat of climate change has been more gradual [than COVID-19]—but it’s devastating reality for many people and their livelihoods around the world, and its ever-greater potential to disrupt, surpasses even that of Covid-19.”

The idea here is that the measures that were put in place during coronavirus – lockdowns, business restrictions, curfews and suppressing dissent – need to essentially become our “new normal” if we are to have any chance of fighting climate change, which they claim is extremely dangerous and will destroy our planet in short order. Now that people are becoming somewhat accustomed to certain measures, they want us to continue giving up our freedoms in the name of the planet as their power continues to grow.

Advertising for The Great Reset tried to link together coronavirus, riots, poverty, pollution and bushfires, which they then claim can all magically disappear at the push of a button, or the Great Reset.

At the June meeting, speakers used the prospect of climate change and the idea of economic sustainability to justify a slew of dramatic economic changes that would place significant restrictions on economic activity and put expansive government programs in place.

The World Economic Forum’s website asks, “The response to the COVID-19 pandemic has shown the world's ability to diverge from business-as-usual to protect public health and safety. How can we carry that over to address the threats of climate change and socio-economic injustice?”

It’s awfully convenient for them that this pandemic emerged as some people are essentially becoming trained to believe that depending on the government will somehow save them.

"Hardcore leftist eco-horror show"

Sky News’ Rowan Dean said the World Economic Forum has become an “anti-democratic enterprise designed to destroy your job, steal your prosperity and rob your kids of a future.”

He added: “It’s a hardcore leftist eco-horror show replete with quasi-fascism.”

Their next Great Reset summit is scheduled to take place in Lucerne, Switzerland, in May after being moved back from the usual January date in Davos. According to a press release, global leaders will come together at the meeting to “design a common recovery path” and shape the post-coronavirus Great Reset that we are all somehow expected to follow.

It will be interesting to see if these uber-rich leaders, who claim to care so much about the environment, show up in their private jets – more than 500 of them in a typical year – for this meeting like they normally do at Davos, where they then proceed to criticize the rest of us for how we’re hurting the environment and need their leadership to make things right.
