It is now “racist” to rest your eyes during Zoom meetings
By Ethan Huff // Jul 28, 2020

A professor at Marymount Manhattan College in New York has been dubbed a "racist" after she was caught "resting" her eyes during a recent Zoom town hall meeting about "anti-racism."

Because she was feeling a bit tired during the digital gathering, Patricia Simon leaned on her arm and appeared to doze off for a second, which immediately drew ire from some of the other participants and viewers who accused her of hating black people simply for not being fully alert during the online event.

More than 2,000 fascists subsequently signed an online petition – campus whiners create these types of petitions all the time, by the way – calling for Simon to be fired from her position at the school over this non-incident, which they claim should not be tolerated at an institution of higher learning.

"This is a petition that is demanding the removal of a faculty member who does not align with the anti-racist views and actions that were promised to be adopted by the department earlier this week at the Town Hall meetings," whined Marymount student Caitlin Gagnon.

In addition to apparently dozing off, Simon also triggered Gagnon and other cancel culture mobsters after she was heard taking a deep breath during the town hall meeting. This ordinary human function was deemed as evidence of the "history of ignoring instances of racism in the form of racial profiling within the program."

Not only that, but Simon's breath-taking was said to perpetuate the "enabling of racist and sizeist (sic) actions and words of the vocal coaches under [Simon's] jurisdiction."

"(She) also has been known to use her power to intimidate and bully the students in her program who have made efforts to advocate for themselves or for their fellow peers," Simon's critics added.

Schools like Marymount Manhattan should be recategorized as institutions of lower indoctrination for emotional babies

Not surprising is the litany of other childish accusations and complaints from others who signed the petition, many of whom whined about how Simon was "mean" to them when they acted out of line or failed to complete a required assignment deadline.

"This was the professor that yelled at me and some other faculty members about us overloading the elevator at school," wrote a fellow employee at Marymount Manhattan who became offended when Simon tried to encourage him or her to follow the school's safety rules.

"When you compound this with Ms. Simon's complete disinterest (apparently sleeping with absolutely nothing to contribute) in the issue of racial justice & LGBTQplus inclusion and safety at Marymount, on display in front of at least 150 students & other Musical Theater faculty, it is clear that the diverse student body of Marymount deserves better!" wrote another.

Amazingly, one pathetic student wrote that Simon is his or her adviser "and has been nothing but lovely to me," adding the caveat, "but I trust my classmates. They deserve to feel just as safe and respected as I do."

Still another wrote about Simon, without any critical thinking whatsoever, "She's racist."

This is the nature of "higher education" these days, or what should probably be reclassified as lower indoctrination. The emotional babies who attend and work at these institutions, and who are offended by everything that takes place on their campuses, are certifiably the worst kinds of people that this society has to offer.

Keep in mind that circulating photos of Simon during the Zoom meeting were stolen without her permission by the cancel culture mob, and used against her in a baseless witch hunt.

"The photo used was taken without permission when I was looking down or briefly resting my Zoom-weary eyes with my head tilted back which I must do in order to see my computer screen through my trifocal progressive lenses," Simon told reporters about the non-incident.

"I listened with my ears and heart the entire meeting."
