Those who say that liberalism is a mental disorder along the lines of Trump Derangement Syndrome are increasingly proven correct, especially the longer President Trump is in office.
On Friday a Left-wing reporter who has bylines at CBS News and Yahoo News and is listed as “an award-winning multimedia journalist” went off on a young female employee at a Target store for refusing to sell him an Oral B electric toothbrush for a penny.
In fact, the reporter — David Leavitt — became so incensed about the clerk’s refusal to sell him the obviously mislabeled item he called police.
And, of course, he had to ensure all of it was recorded with his phone and uploaded to social media.
In a lengthy Twitter tirade, Leavitt admitted he called police after the Target store manager, a woman named “Tori,” would not honor the price of the toothbrush. (Related: America reaches peak liberal lunacy as anti-white progressives (racists) add extra “adversity” points to SAT scores for “people of color.”)
“I just had to call the police because @target refused to sell me the toothbrush,” he wrote. “I did not call 911. I called the business number for the police and told them it was not an emergency and they could take their time and explained the situation.”
Oh, well, goody. How considerate.
“The police verified @target displayed the price of the toothbrush for $0.01 The store manager Tori refused to sell me the toothbrush for displayed price. The police said I need to sue them and that they are making me a verified report to take to court,” he continued.
“Corporations like @target are not above the law,” Leavitt continued, claiming that under Massachusetts law, items in stores must be sold for the listed price. “The police officer told me they’d testify that they saw the price and that the manager wouldn’t sell me the item for the price listed.
“I have not been able to afford to go to a dentist in over three years. So yes I wanted a good toothbrush and was thrilled to see such an amazing prize [sic] on an @OralB but @target refused to honor it and now I have to take them to court,” Leavitt wrote.

So — Leavitt can’t afford a couple of dollars to pay the real price for the toothbrush or go to the dentist but he can afford to go to a lawyer?
Even if he finds one who’ll work for a percentage, what’s a judge going to make Target pay — a couple thousand dollars, at most? Or maybe nothing at all?
And of course, the attorney will get a hefty amount of whatever Target is forced to pay.
As for his claim that the police officer will “testify” for him, that seems like a huge embellishment. Most cops are overworked and forced to put in extra time as it is, plus they are often in court for their own cases. Why would a street cop with too much to do and not enough pay spend his/her day off appearing as a witness for this jerk’s electric toothbrush lawsuit?
We don’t have any insight into Target’s corporate legal team but we’re betting the chain has a lot of high-priced attorneys on staff who would eat alive any schmoe Levitt, who can’t buy a ten-dollar item, could convince to represent him.
Either way, what this episode is really about is another triggered Leftist who ordinarily hates cops anyway but who is now upset that he didn’t get his way.
Oh, and by the way, an astute Twitter user noted that Leavitt didn’t seem to realize that the price tag he saw was marked “DISPLAY” — it was for the display model.

And he seems to have fibbed about the last time he saw a dentist.
Over 3 years, huh? 🤔🧐 pic.twitter.com/nC94v2jy4e
