Exclusive… CNN whistleblower: Liberal media’s Charlottesville hoax was my ‘red pill’ moment (video)
By News Editors // Nov 12, 2019

The media, with “fake news” CNN leading the charge in conjunction with the Democrat Party, is continuously pumping out propaganda to convince the American people that President Donald Trump and his supporters are racist “white supremacists.”

Even to those who embrace the results of the president’s policies, the fake news fabrications about Trump are so often repeated, half of Americans believe the president is racistparticularly blacks and Hispanics.

But the imaginary fears and slander projected upon Trump by CNN reveal much more about the real enemy of the American people and prompted one of the network’s employees to blow the whistle.

Cary Poarch, the former satellite uplink technician at CNN’s Washington, D.C. bureau who secretly recorded hundreds of hours of undercover footage exposing the vehement, anti-Trump bias of the network’s executives, says CNN’s effort to smear the president as racist ushered in a life-altering “red pill” moment of extraordinary clarity.

“There was multiple little – I call them grains of rice — that led to the tipping of the scale,” Poarch explained in an exclusive interview with The Gateway Pundit.

“‘Let’s cover the story in this light, this way or that way, to cast the president or Republicans in a certain light,'” Poarch said, describing CNN President Jeff Zucker’s routine of directing his staff to bombard viewers with propaganda. “I thought that was obviously kind of weird because I always like to pride myself as a seeker of truth – whatever the facts are, let’s get them out and go from there.”

“Even though I didn’t like the president,” he continued, “I just thought that was kind of weird that a major media company would be trying to tip the scale. That kept my antenna up.”

Poarch was on the ground in Charlottesville, Virginia in 2017, covering the “Unite the Right” rally when white nationalists arrived to demonstrate against the removal of a Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee monument from a public park.

Following the riot, President Trump explicitly condemned white supremacy, neo-Nazis, and the Ku Klux Klan.

“Racism is evil. And those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including the KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans,” Trump declared in a televised statement from the White House.

The president doubled down on his condemnation of racism at a press conference at Trump Tower in New York the following day, using the phrase “very fine people” to refer to non-violent demonstrators who were protesting against the removal of the  confederate statue. He added: “I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists, because they should be condemned totally.”

Yet, the mainstream media omitted Trump’s full remarks and claimed the president characterized white supremacists and neo-Nazis as “very fine people.”

The “Charlottesville Hoax,” which has become the most important piece of evidence in the left’s case that Trump is in fact a racist, was a wake-up call for Poarch.

“The main one for me that really set me down a pathway to research things for myself was the Charlottesville riot, the ‘Unite the Right’ rally down in Charlottesville, Virginia, where it got crazy and a lady died and everything. I was one of the teams that was ‘boots on the ground’ that was helping cover that story. I was in the truck, doing what I can do to help the engineers get it on air,” he said. “We all know that infamous speech – a press conference a couple of days after the fact, where everyone was asking [Trump] to denounce the white supremacists and Nazis — in which he clearly did.”

Poarch urged all American who believes Trump praised racists after the Charlottesville riots to read the transcripts of his remarks for themselves instead of taking the media’s word for it.

“The ‘good people on both sides’ argument, that is repeated ad nauseam now – people can look at the full transcript— he was like, ‘I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white supremacists – they should be condemned totally,'” he said. “I heard that and I was like, ‘okay, that makes sense.’ Again, I didn’t like Trump, but I was like, ‘okay, at least he said it.’ But then I saw my outlet and a bunch of others just run with the whole, ‘good people on both sides’ argument, without the full context of the speech.”

“Even Biden used that in his coming out campaign – two years later roughly,” he continued. “That really set me – at least opened my mind enough – to be open to other information that I may not have been getting where I was at.”

Outraged after observing CNN portray itself as the essence of journalism, insisting the network has no agenda when it’s fully devoted to destroying Trump, Poarch began consuming alternative media.

“I just started pulling that thread and going down videos and articles that I wasn’t being fed in the mainstream media. I’ve always been a fan of Gateway Pundit, so I was reading some of your stuff as well other things that were helping sift through some of the misinformation and disinformation out there,” he said. “It’s been a long journey especially coming from far-left Democrats.

“I registered, campaigned for Bernie for two-and-half years, almost three years later, to pulling the lever for Trump. Imagine that whole arch of a mental journey – has been insane.”

Footage Poarch recorded of CNN’s staff during his five-month long undercover investigation with Project Veritas revealed CNN Politics Supervising Producer Steve Brusk was widely regarded as a sexual predator within the company. CNN staffers detailed on video instances of Brusk’s inappropriate behavior with female employees.

Yet, Brusk has yet to face investigation or repercussion for alleged sexual harassment, while Bill O’Reilly and Roger Ailes were ousted from Fox News amid unsubstantiated claims of sexual harassment.

Conservatives are held to a different standard than leftists, Poarch argued, noting he was oblivious to the discrepancy when he himself was a leftist.

“I didn’t notice it because again, I was part of the machine, up until I started working there and halfway through my employment there. When you are part of it you really don’t notice it, you’re just a cog in a wheel,” he said. “That was the tough part for me when I started – I hate the term – but having my matrix moment: ‘Am I just going to take the blue pill and stay asleep and stay inside the system or am I going to take the red one and see where this goes.’ Once I started pulling on that thread, I couldn’t put the genie back in the bottle.”

“That’s what led me down a downward spiral, where ‘oh my God, I’m part of this system, I’m putting news out there that millions of people take a face value, as gospel, that clearly has a slant to it, but they’re not owning it,” he added.

Mainstream media networks have all ignored Project Veritas’ bombshell investigation exposing CNN, confirming the so-called “most trusted name in news” is just a microcosm of the anti-conservative, mainstream media, Poarch concluded.

“I just find it very interesting that [the media] is as silent as it is. Fox and OANN and just some independent outlets are the only ones covering it and none of the left-leaning, mainstream ABC’s or NBC’s,” he said. “My theory is they are acting like a cartel, circling wagons to protect each other.”

Despite censorship by Big Tech and the blindly partisan networks’ refusal to mention the exposé, Poarch’s undercover footage has amassed hundreds of millions of views.

“[Project Veritas] checked the analytics last week – and they were just over 80, approaching 90 million, possibly 100 million views on all the clips together and videos together. So it’s out there in the public domain now and that’s even in the face of extreme Twitter suppression,” Poarch said. “We didn’t even trend until we reached 150, almost 200,000 tweets, when at the same time the number one trending thing was getting like 8, 9 – less than 10,000 tweets. There was heavy suppression, so I credit all the patriots out there by getting that thing out and getting it out from under the heavy hand of big tech the way it did.”
