The deranged Left is going from simply teetering on the edge of lunacy to homicidal as evidenced by an incident that occurred in Tacoma, Wash., on Saturday.
Police shot and killed a man they say was armed with a rifle as he threw flammable objects near a detention center for illegal aliens and migrants hours after a protest there, Breitbart News reports.
Other reports noted that a worker at the Northwest Detention Center in Tacoma called police early Saturday to report that a man armed with a rifle was throwing “incendiary devices” at vehicles, setting them on fire.
QFox13 reported that the man was also attempting to ignite a large propane tank, according to police.
The attack on the migrant detention center followed by several hours a rally by migrant supporters outside the facility operated for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement by GEO Group.
It wasn’t known at the time of this report whether the man who engaged in the attack was anti-ICE or anti-migrant; the attack could also have been unrelated to either motive. However, according to a statement from GEO Group, a Florida-based firm that operates the Tacoma facility, blamed the attack on anger that has resulted from gross misreporting by the mainstream media.
The statement, which QFox13 published, cited a “factually inaccurate portrayal” of GEO detention centers by the media (and Democrats) which has caused “misplaced aggression and a dangerous environment for our employees.” (Related: Lock her UP: Hillary now openly inciting migrants to violate our immigration laws by breaking into our country.)
Breitbart reported further:
Tacoma police reported that officers responded to the call at about 4 a.m. on Saturday. The officers say the man wore a satchel and was holding flares, the Seattle Times reported. Spokeswoman Loretta Cool told reporters that officers reported, “shots fired.” The officers then fired at the suspect, she said. When officers approached the man, they determined he had been shot and killed.
The GEO statement concluded: “Violence of any kind against our employees and property will not be tolerated. We are thankful for the quick and brave action by the Tacoma Police Department, which prevented innocent lives from being endangered.”
The attack on the Tacoma ICE detention facility came on the same day protesters removed a U.S. flag and replaced it with a Mexican flag at an ICE detention facility in Aurora, Colo. CBS Denver reported:
Hundreds of protesters gathered in Aurora on Friday evening to march to the ICE detention facility where illegal and undocumented immigrants are being housed. They also removed the U.S. flag, replaced it with a Mexican flag, and spray painted graffiti on a Blue Lives Matter flag before it was seen flying upside down on the flag pole.
The protests and the defacement of the American and Blue Lives Matter flags comes ahead of anticipated internal enforcement operations by ICE agents in multiple U.S. cities this weekend. President Donald Trump announced this week that the operations would commence “soon” after they were postponed last month because someone leaked details of the plan to the media.
Details regarding the current upcoming operation were also leaked last week, but there were fewer details to report, leading some to believe that critical elements of the plan were either sequestered until right before the operation began or fewer people were in the loop.
Protesters have demanded that ICE be disbanded — the same demand made by an increasing number of Democrats, all of whom claim that migrants in detention are being mistreated and that Border Patrol agents are abusing them, though there are no indications such allegations are true.
“In addition to Denver, the raids were expected in Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New Orleans, New York and San Francisco,” CBS Denver reported, adding that ICE will be in those cities this weekend as well, except for New Orleans which is experiencing tropical storm Barry.
