Fake news CNN counts pellet gun incidents as “school shootings” to scare the public with falsified, scary statistics
By JD Heyes // May 19, 2019

The so-called “mainstream media” is filled with Left-wing, anti-constitutional activists who support the Democrat Party’s notion of picking and choosing which rights should and should not be fully enjoyed by all Americans.

In particular, the Second Amendment’s right to keep and bear arms is troublesome for the media Leftists, as evidenced by their constant skewing of stories related to incidents like school shootings (unless, of course, the incident was rife with details that harm, rather than help, Left-wing political causes).

But because far too many Americans still revere our Constitution as written, the MSM has taken to fabricating gun-related stories in an effort to make it seem as though firearms are much more problematic for American society than they really are.

CNN is the most recent ‘news’ outlet to do so, as evidenced by a story the network published on its website meant to make it seem as though school shootings — tragic events which are already very emotionally charged — happen far more frequently than they actually do.

As reported by Breitbart News’ Awr Hawkins, CNN published a list of school shootings for 2019 that included incidents involving pellet guns and drug deals that went south.

“Nineteen weeks into 2019, there have already been 15 school shootings in the U.S. in which someone was hurt or killed,” the network reported before listing the 15 incidents involving “shootings.” They include accidental discharges and potential drive-by shootings in order to inflate the number to 15.

One of the incidents involved a firearm that was “accidentally discharged” at a Grambling State University dormitory. In another incident, a child was shot in the hand while sitting on a school bus; however, the shooter was never located and was not thought by police to have actually been on the bus.

Yet another incident involved “a 16-year-old student” who “was shot at Atascocita High School trying to buy marijuana from a 17-year-old student.” Click2Houston reported that the incident occurred around 6:15 p.m. in a parking lot outside the school; CNN, however, counts this as a “school shooting.”

CNN has to know they are lying

Hawkins noted further:

A Memphis, Tennessee, student was treated for injuries after being shot with a pellet gun at school. WMC5 reported that the student would “be okay” and police could not determine how the pellet gun ended up in the school. CNN also counts this as a “school shooting.”

CNN also cites a situation where someone who was not a student was shot while confronting a burglar in a school parking lot. This is also counted as a “school shooting.”

Now mind you, these aren’t stupid people at CNN. Politically compromised, yes, but not dumb. They can read statistics; they can comprehend numbers. As such, CNN’s editors and reporters involved in such chicanery know that they’re being dishonest. And they obviously have no qualms about it because, hey, the Leftist objective of taking away guns is far more important than the truth.

In truth, school shootings are, of course, far, more common than they should be. Criminologists attribute a lot of them to so-called ‘copycats’ who are looking for their 15 minutes of fame and understand that school shootings normally draw a lot of attention.

Others, ironically, blame the media for its outsized coverage of such incidents — usually as a way to allow Democratic Leftists to utilize the tragedy for political gain and to push for ‘more gun control.’

What is rarely discussed, however, is just how rare these incidents are and why the Left continues to resist common-sense solutions like arming teachers or adding armed security/police to schools who, unlike Broward’s Coward, will actually move to protect kids.
