It's true: Alan Rubin, who used to work for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) during the time when the federal agency gave the green light to biosludge, is infamous for coining this term "sludge magic," which was basically his way of trying to justify the unfounded claim that biosludge is completely safe simply because the EPA has declared it as such.
"'Sludge magic' [means] there are unique properties in the biosolids matrix that sequester metals, that sequester organics," he's quoted as saying. "By sequester I mean significantly reduce the mobility to move from the biosolids out to the environment, and the matrix is really complex, and has organic material in it, organic pollutants ... ," he added.
And just what are these "unique properties" that keep poisons from leaching out of biosludge into our soils and food supply? Rubin never could answer this with any sort of scientific precision, instead likening it to the waving of a magic wand and, poof, everything is all made safe in an instant.
"The processes, some of them are understood, some of them are not that well understood, but the whole thing taken together is called magic," he stated, adding, "So I coined the term magic."

These ridiculous claims of "sludge magic" are, of course, complete lies and fabrications made by Rubin on behalf of the EPA – the same EPA that we now know manufactured fake data to sell the myth that biosolids are completely safe and even good for people and the environment.
In truth, biosludge is one of the most serious threats to public health in our world today. By dumping human waste teeming with bacteria, viruses, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and all sorts of other poisons all over our food, untold millions of people are being violently assaulted at the cellular level by substances that they never consented to have put inside their bodies.
"Biosludged reveals how the EPA is committing science fraud to allow the ongoing poisoning of our world with toxic sewage sludge that's being spread on food crops," writes Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, about the purpose of this powerful film.
"The film also features many other scientists, researchers and citizen activists who are all working to shine the light on the grotesque practice of cities spreading toxic sewage sludge on farms, crop lands, city parks and forests."
One of these scientists is Dr. David Lewis, author of the book Science For Sale and former EPA employee-turned-whistleblower. Dr. Lewis holds nothing back in revealing everything he saw during his tenure at the EPA, warning that such chicanery is prolific throughout the federal government.
