As a former teacher in the public school system, Tribes is fully aware of what the government's education system entails. He knows the risks involved with children potentially getting their hands on firearms and going rogue in the classroom, and yet he still recognizes that taking guns away from law-abiding Americans isn't going to fix the problem.
"How many more mass shootings will we endure?" Tribes asks hypothetically in the video.
"As a father of eight children 7-20 years old, as having taught in a government school, as an American, and as a human being, I can answer: many more, until we understand that mass shootings result from concentrated masses of disarmed victims, and a crumbling society with increasing numbers of evildoers," he answers.

Enlisting the help of his children, Tribes allowed several of them to further expound upon this philosophy throughout his video. One of them is heard explaining how disarming responsible people only puts everyone else at increased risk of being harmed or killed by criminals' illegal use of guns.
"The solution is not to disarm the rest of us so that we are all just as helpless as those six- and seven-year-old children who were screaming in the back of a classroom as an evil man methodically shot each of them multiple times," one of Tribes' little ones states, referring to the alleged Sandy Hook tragedy from several years back.
Another child is then heard explaining how allowing only the government to possess and use firearms is a recipe for absolute despotism. Many authoritarian regimes throughout history removed guns from the citizenry right before committing horrible atrocities, including mass genocide.
"We citizens will not allow ourselves to be turned into a nation of helpless six- and seven-year-olds, hoping that the next evildoer does not come down our hallway," the child states. "And more so since governments in the last 200 years have murdered hundreds of millions, more than all of the mass shooters combined."
Keeping firearms in the hands of law-abiding citizens is also critical for preventing gun crimes, as was the case in Titusville, Florida, earlier this year. In case you missed it, a man with a concealed carry firearm actually stopped a gun tragedy from happening in a park. Had the man not been armed, many innocent people could have died.
"We will not allow ourselves to be disarmed in the face of such evils precisely because we love life and liberty, and we will do whatever is necessary to defend both," another of Tribes' children states in the video. "As Americans, we are endowed by our Creator with the inalienable right to use arms to defend ourselves, our homes, our families, our neighbors, our country, and our liberty."
Our Founding Fathers obviously recognized this as well, otherwise they wouldn't have enshrined such concepts within the Constitution via the Second Amendment. While police are armed and equipped to help stop crime as well, it's ultimately up to individuals to protect themselves, their family, and their friends and neighbors as a first line of defense.
"Parents should train children to safely handle and shoot firearms when they are responsible enough," another child explains.
"Until we as individuals learn to defend ourselves and others, the stories of mass shootings to come will continue to be that unarmed masses of people tried bravely, but helplessly, to stop another evil person from slaughtering."
Children also need to be taught that no government entity has the power to infringe upon the Second Amendment, because doing so infringes upon life and liberty.
