Post-Kavanaugh, POTUS Trump nominates 13 more constitutionalists to the federal bench
By News Editors // Oct 11, 2018

(National SentinelTrolling the Left: After unhinged Democrats turned Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearings into a disgusting exercise character assassination, POTUS Donald Trump doubled down on his efforts to restock the federal bench with constitutionalists who don’t make law but interpret them as written.

The president on Wednesday announced his 18th round of nominees that include two candidates for the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals and three for the Left-leaning, oft-overturned 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

The 2nd Circuit is based in New York City and has jurisdiction over New York, Connecticut, and Vermont, while the 9th is based in San Francisco and hears cases coming from nine western states as well as the outlying Pacific territories.

The Daily Caller reported:

Michael Park of Consovoy McCarthy Park PLLC, a litigation boutique with a conservative bent, and Judge Joseph Bianco of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York were tapped for the 2nd Circuit, while Patrick Bumatay, Daniel Collins and Kenneth Kiyul Lee were selected for the 9th Circuit. Bumatay is a federal prosecutor. Collins and Lee are appellate advocates in private practice.

POTUS thus far has had trouble securing confirmations to both courts. He’s only managed to put one new judge on the 9th Circuit, Mark Bennett, who is not well-known and who some have questioned regarding his constitutionalist bent.

A second nominee, Ryan Bounds, failed on a narrow vote after it was revealed he wrote racially-tinged columns as an undergrad at Stanford University.

So far, the Senate has not yet confirmed any nominee to the 2nd Circuit.

On Thursday, the Senate Judiciary Committee sent nine nominees to the full Senate for a confirmation vote. On Oct. 17, a confirmation hearing for lower court nominees is scheduled.

The president solidified conservative support during the 2016 primaries and campaign by publishing a list of constitutionalists he vowed to considered for federal judgeships and the Supreme Court. He’s stuck to that list and he stuck by Kavanaugh despite the Left’s disgusting attacks against him.
