(National Sentinel) Law Enforcement: POTUS Donald Trump rode into office in large part on a pledge to curb illegal immigration and ensure that all immigration laws were enforced, and by every measure, he’s been successful when courts, Democrats, and RINOs haven’t stood in his way.

On Wednesday a new indicator of his success was reported: Border apprehensions are up 70 percent from July 2017.

Agents apprehended 31,303 people in July between ports of entry, up from 18,187 a year ago, according to Department of Homeland Security data released Wednesday. The department said substantial rises in the number of unaccompanied children and family units crossing the U.S.-Mexico border drove the overall increase.
Apprehensions at the border have returned to levels comparable to the final year of the Barack Obama administration, after a dramatic drop during Trump’s first year in office, according to the data.
DHS highlighted that border apprehensions were lower than they were in the four previous months, after peaking in May at 40,333.
“Despite our terribly broken immigration laws, the administration has still been able to impact illegal immigration – but we need Congress to act to fix our system,” Department of Homeland Security spokesman Tyler Q. Houlton said in a statement, Bloomberg Quint reported.
He also referenced the Trump administration’s “zero tolerance” policy, which calls for the prosecution of every adult who enters the U.S. illegally.
Houlton also lamented decisions by far-Left federal judges as hampering the administration’s immigration law enforcement efforts.“Court decisions prevent us from detaining and prosecuting family unit adults,” he said. “The inability to apply consequences to any lawbreaker ultimately threatens the safety and security of the nation and its communities.”

The CBS Battleground Tracker Poll conducted by YouGov conducted June 21-22 in the midst of media-generated controversies over the Trump administration’s border enforcement policies found that 51 percent believe we should have a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, though supporters are divided on whether it’ll ever be built.
That’s a complete reversal from a March CBS poll in which 60 percent of Americans said they opposed the border wall.
Meanwhile, in the most recent survey, 32 percent say the wall is a good idea and can probably be completed, and 19 percent say it’s a great idea that ought to be pursued even if it fails.
In all, 63 percent either want the migrant families deported or detained, while just 21 percent said migrants should be released into the U.S. while they await their immigration hearing.
The fact that too many members of Congress refuse to enact sane ‘America First’ immigration laws proves whose side they’re on.
