For all intents and purposes, Sen. Bernie Sanders, an avowed socialist who honeymooned in Soviet-era Moscow, ignited the modern socialist/Marxist movement within the Democratic Party.
During his run for the party’s 2016 presidential nomination — which he very well might have captured had Hillary Clinton and the DNC not conspired to steal it — Sanders pushed all the free stuff socialists always push: College education, healthcare, housing, and government jobs, while promising to pay for it all by raiding the bank accounts of “greedy corporations” and rich people.
In American politics or anywhere in the world, you can’t really get much more socialist than Bernie Sanders.
And yet, even he isn’t Left-wing enough for the Marxist lunatics who are completing the transformation of the Democratic Party from the party of JFK to the party of Raul Castro and Nicolas Maduro and George Soros.

Democratic socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is no longer left enough for some Democrats, because he has been reluctant to join calls to abolish U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). That’s according to the New Republic, once a reliable center-left organ.
Writer Sarah Jones has arbitrarily declared that Sanders is now “undermining his position as the nation’s most prominent left-wing politician” because he is only suggesting that the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency be reformed, rather than endorsing the extremist position of abolishing the agency altogether.
“Sanders could be a source of consistent, left-wing pressure on party leadership, whether or not he runs in 2020. If he intends to build a lasting political movement out of the remnants of his last presidential campaign, he’ll need to become an effective counterweight to the mainstream Democratic Party,” Jones wrote. “But based on his ICE comments and the uneven results of his campaign efforts, Sanders no longer seems like such a sure figurehead for disgruntled Democratic voters.” (Related: The increasingly insane Left wants to turn America into the next Venezuela, as first “communist” set for election win in New York City.)
Far-Left isn’t far-Left enough
Keep in mind that Sanders and I agree on almost nothing when it comes to politics and policy. But even I would have to give Sanders some deference on issues like whether or not it’s really a good idea to get rid of the nation’s only customs agency (right — ICE isn’t just a “deportation force” like that crackpot Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand says), since he’s been in Congress for so long.
But nope, not the hard, extremist, new Marxist Left. It’s abolish that agency altogether or you don’t get their support, baby.
If this doesn’t prove once and for all that socialists and their Democratic allies are the true authoritarians (dare I say…’Nazis?’) then nothing will.
As stated above, Sanders’ 2016 presidential bid inspired Leftists all across the country to push the Democratic Party further Left or abandon it altogether for the Democratic Socialists of America. One such inspiration is the so-far successful candidacy of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, an avowed DSA member who defeated 10-term liberal Rep. Joe Crowley in New York late last month. She’s become a darling to the Democratic Party, which is slowly but surely trended her way.
But because Sanders is taking a more nuanced approach — reform ICE, don’t abolish it — he’s out as the movement’s figurehead, according to Jones’ thinking.
Jones acknowledges that Sanders is to the Left of most Democrats, but she declared he’s not a “doctrinaire leftist.” He isn’t a “revolutionary,” which — in the socialist tradition has always meant armed insurrectionist. “His views aren’t even entirely consistent with democratic socialism, the political tradition he claims,” Jones says.
When the insane extreme American Left has proclaimed that insanely Left Bernie Sanders isn’t extreme or insane Left enough, that should give you a really good idea of where our country is headed if these loons ever do gain control of government.
