As reported by Information Liberation, Fabiola Cineas of PhillyMag.com spoke with two Starbucks baristas about the sensitivity training, which went on for six full hours and mostly consisted of presentations, videos and self-guided groups. However, the training largely failed to hit the mark. (Related: Left-wing lunacy is turning Starbucks locations into homeless shelters full of drug users.)
“It felt like we were off task the entire time because we didn’t reflect on the situation itself,” said on Starbucks employee who we will call Tina. “The training materials focused a lot on police brutality, which had nothing to do with the incident that happened.”
Another employee, who we’ll call Jamie, explained that at one point during the sensitivity training, “a girl at my table actually had to get up and leave because video after video they showed black people being assaulted by police or black people being verbally assaulted and white people being racially biased toward people of color. It offended her. She left after that.”
Jamie added that if this racial sensitivity training was supposed to be inclusive, then it should have focused more on the problems that white people face “since they’re part of the problem too.” (Related: In the name of inclusiveness, Starbucks just became America’s public toilet.)
Truthfully, it’s not surprising that a company like Starbucks (which is known to lean to the Left and align with the progressive ideology) would address the topic of racism in America by solely focusing on the problems that the black community faces. Even though people from all races face varying levels of discrimination and hate, liberals define racism as whites feeling as though they are superior to blacks, even though the true definition of racism is when any race feels as though it is superior. In other words, it works both ways; it’s not just “whites discriminating against blacks.”
Furthermore, it is absolutely disgusting that Starbucks would force their employees to watch anti-cop propaganda for hours on end, all of which depicts police officers as hateful, bigoted monsters that despise minorities. These brave men and women in uniform put their lives on the line each and every day to keep our communities safe, and Americans everywhere should be outraged that Starbucks would disrespect police officers in this way.
Even though there isn’t a single institution in America (or any other country, for that matter) that is completely free of racism and discrimination, the idea that racism runs rampant within the police force is largely a myth.
According to a study conducted by Harvard economics professor Roland G. Fryer Jr. in 2015, a total of 990 people were killed by police officers, with 897 of them being armed with a weapon. Of those 93 unarmed individuals that were shot, 38 were black men, but 13 of those 38 were in the middle of attacking police officers or civilians when police were forced to open fire. In other words, in 2015, unarmed, non-violent black men accounted for just 1.5 percent of police killings.
Additionally, with regards to split-second “shoot/don’t shoot” situations, the study found that officers in Houston, Texas, were around 20 percent less likely to shoot a black person than a white person. This finding echoes a similar study conducted by Washington State University that was released back in April of 2016.
Shame on Starbucks for indoctrinating their employees with lies and anti-cop propaganda in the name of “racial sensitivity training.” This sort of behavior should not be tolerated. Read ThoughtPolice.news for more news coverage.
