CNN fake news operatives admit they won’t correct false gun facts spouted by ignorant students like David Hogg
By JD Heyes // Mar 28, 2018

Based on polling data over the past couple of years it’s become obvious that more Americans trust used car salesmen and their congressional representative than the American Pravda media.

By any measure, their distrust is justified, as reinforced this week by the pathetic Brian Stelter, CNN’s “media” watchdog reporter. As noted by the Media Research Center’s Newsbusters fact-checking site, “it’s not often” that Stelter is so honest and up-front about his dishonesty.

During an appearance on Headline News’ S. E. Cupp Unfiltered program, the host of the misnamed CNN program “Reliable Sources” peeked from behind his facade of ‘even-handedness’ to note that he allowed David Hogg, the Left’s newest anti-gun groupie and mouthpiece, to get away with making patently false claims about the National Rifle Association that a media guy focused on “truth” ought not to have let happen. (Related: Visit HoggWatch.com for daily news updates on Hogg's fascist activities.)

Newsbusters noted:

Stelter’s admission came after host S.E. Cupp questioned him about the wisdom of the media’s obsession with elevating only the kids pushing gun control. “Brian, we as a business have been giving these kids a lot of coverage. All the networks have in some way or another,” she explained, noting boringness of nuanced policy. “But the policies is the tough part. Do you think in showing these kids so often, as often as we all do, we're actually doing them a disservice because the policy is actually what's going to change this?”

And with no sort of trickery from Cupp, Stelter just blurted out that he let the gun control advocate get away with lying to CNN’s viewers. “A disservice is a strong word, but when I was interviewing David Hogg only ten days after the massacre, there were a few times I wanted to jump in and say let's correct that fact,” he said.

Ah, but he didn’t.

For her part, Cupp asked if Stelter ever corrected the record formally. His response left no doubt that he let most of Hogg’s lies stand pat and then circled his wagon with excuses.

“And at one of the times I did and other times I did not. There’s always that balance, how many times you’re going to interrupt,” Unbiased Media Guy explained.

But really, everyone knows had Hogg been on Stelter’s program to discuss a pro-gun, pro-Second Amendment position as a conservative (like this young man), he would have hopped right in there as many times as necessary to ‘correct the record.’ (Related: Marxist Democrats are exploiting young people like David Hogg to push “revolution” in America.)

Stelter noted further that the only time he remembered correcting the ranting Young Mr. Hogg was when he stated that NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch was the CEO of the gun rights group (actually, Wayne LaPierre heads up the organization and has for decades).

But come on, that “was such low-hanging fruit, he was really just picking it up off the ground under the tree,” Newsbusters noted, adding that the interview has an interesting side note: Young Mr. Hogg was seated next to the disgraced former CBS News anchor Dan Rather — who then gave the young budding school journalist some career advice (here’s some for you, Dan, if you’re still taking it: The next time you want to publish a hit job on a sitting president, better confirm your information first).

Then Stelter sought to defend Young Mr. Hogg’s faux claims and incorrect information by praising the high school senior’s passion for the issue — while at the same time spewing his own fakery.

“I think we have to recognize where David Hogg and Emma Gonzalez are coming from. There has been an increase in the lethality of mass shootings in recent years in this country. The so-called top ten list of horrors is very, very ugly and very recent,” he said.

Wrong. And CNN even reported it. (Three of the top 10 deadliest mass shootings occurred during Bill Clinton’s presidency).

But that’s the thing about trafficking in fake news; you either don’t recognize it when you see it or you don’t mind letting it pass when you do.
