Trump promises to fire federal staffers involved in CENSORSHIP
By Ramon Tomey // Sep 13, 2024

Former President Donald Trump has promised to fire federal employees who are reportedly involved in censorship pressure.

He made this pledge during his Sept. 7 campaign rally in Mosinee, Wisconsin – which NTD News described as "a solidly Republican area that Trump carried by 16 percentage points in the 2016 and 2020 elections." The promise also served to bolster his stance against what Reclaim The Net called "Big Tech censorship attempts by the ruling Biden-Harris administration."

"I will sign an executive order banning any federal employee from colluding to limit speech, and we will fire every federal bureaucrat who is engaged in domestic censorship under the Harris regime," Trump told attendees of the Mosinee rally. His promise stated his commitment to protecting the free speech of Americans as guaranteed by the First Amendment, and came in the wake of heightened debate around safeguarding this fundamental right.

"The First Amendment – recognized as the bedrock of American values and rites – guarantees every citizen the right to voice their opinion, peacefully protest and practice their religion without intrusion from the government," Reclaim The Net wrote.

"However, these liberties have come under fire in the online world – with government pressuring social media platforms to censor speech. Under the Biden-Harris governance, the administration has been accused of muzzling so-called 'misinformation.'"

According to NTD News, the federal government's efforts to censor content on social media centered on material it considers controversial – including the truth about the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) and vaccines.

Congressional investigations similar to those by the House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government have brought many incidents of censorship pressure to light. Lawsuits against the administration like the one filed by Brighteon.com and Natural News against the federal government have also accomplished the same purpose. "I will bring back free speech in America because it's been taken away," Trump remarked.

Trump comments on Russia, Kamala in Mosinee rally

Aside from pledging to terminate federal officials involved in censorship, Trump also commented on recent reports that Russia allegedly attempted to influence the U.S. elections in November.

"Did you see three days ago? It started again. The [Department of Justice] said Russia may be involved in our elections again," the former president told the audience. "Russia, it's Russia. And you know, the whole world laughed at them this time."

The real estate mogul also reminded the rally attendees of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) Crossfire Hurricane investigation. The FBI probe, which began in 2017 and ended in 2020, sought to investigate possible ties between Moscow and Trump's 2016 presidential campaign.

Special Counsel John Durham, who was appointed by then-U.S. Attorney General Bill Barr, examined the Crossfire Hurricane probe. He concluded in 2023 that the bureau lacked "actual evidence" to investigate the campaign. Durham also found that Crossfire Hurricane relied heavily on tips from Trump's political opponents and suffered from confirmation bias.

The former president also said he would support a modification of the 25th Amendment. Under Trump's proposed change, a vice president covering up the incapacity of a sitting president will become an impeachable offense.

According to the Trump campaign, President Joe Biden has been governing with a seeming loss of physical and mental acuity. Vice President Kamala Harris is reportedly aware of this cognitive decline, but has hidden it from the American public.
