An internal memo just surfaced between the EPA official who oversees Michigan, a branch manager in the EPA’s Region 5, the associate director of the water division for region 5, and an EPA environmental engineer. The memo was presented by the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, and in it, one of those EPA officials makes clear that they’re not so sure Flint was worth helping, saying they weren’t sure if Flint was a community ‘to go out on a limb for.’ The Resident breaks it down.
