Trump promises to fix “radical left” social media censorship – will he be able to deliver?

Online free speech is under attack like never before, and President Donald Trump has vowed to take action in its preservation.

In a recent tweet, Trump called out the culprits by name and indicated that his administration is working to address a problem that has been escalating for years.

“The Radical Left is in total command & control of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Google,” the president tweeted. “The Administration is working to remedy this illegal situation.”

Along with this tweet, Trump shared a video clip of a speech given by conservative blogger Michelle Malkin, who likewise has been taking a stand in defense of free speech online.

“Thank you Michelle!” Trump further wrote.

For a while now, Trump has been vocal about social media censorship, calling it out and saying it needs to stop. However, very little has actually been done to address it, which is why Natural News has not only been removed from social media, but also blocked from having any of its content shared, along with all Brighteon content.

If something does not happen, and soon, there will eventually be no more right-leaning content online at all. The internet will quickly become an echo chamber for leftist ideologies with no room for alternative voices.

“Stay tuned, and send names & events,” Trump further added in a tweet about how his administration is supposedly on the verge of making some headway with holding the tech giants accountable for their crimes.

Listen below to The Health Ranger Report as Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, discusses the relentless attack by Facebook against both Natural News and Brighteon:

Will the White House actually deliver on its promise?

Many readers will recall that the White House announced last spring the unveiling of its “Tech Bias” portal, which allows Americans to report online censorship directly to Washington. Since it was launched, however, the silencing of free speech online has only gotten worse.

“The Trump Administration is fighting for free speech online,” the official White House Twitter page announced. “No matter your views, if you suspect political bias has caused you to be censored or silenced online, we want to hear about it,” the tweet went on to state.

Below this, a link to the White House Tech Bias page was provided, which you can also access here.

Perhaps the White House has simply been taking its time in building a case against the tech cabal. This would explain why it appears as though next to nothing has been done to rein in Silicon Valley.

These latest announcements by Trump would seem to indicate that action is now being taken, or at least we hope that is the case. If the president truly cares about online free speech, then we expect to see some drastic action taken against Big Tech, which is in flagrant violation of Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act (CDA).

The White House recently addressed this tweet from last May, indicating that it has been paying attention to what people are saying and is now about to take action. This is promising and could suggest that the hammer is about to drop on Big Tech.

“On May 15, President Trump asked Americans to share their stories of suspected political bias,” the Tech Bias page of the White House now reads. “The White House received thousands of responses – thank you for lending your voice!”

As of this writing, the Tech Bias page of the White House website is no longer taking new responses.
