The out-of-control PC Police are on the attack again, this time against a professor at Boise State University for daring to challenge Alt-Left orthodoxy regarding transgenderism.

As reported by The Daily Signal, tenured Prof. Scott Yenor has been under siege on campus by brainwashed Leftist students and Marxist faculty members after he began writing articles for the Heritage Foundation and The Daily Signal website critiquing feminism and the transgender movement in general.

In his articles, Yenor notes that there is a similarity in philosophy between the decades-old feminist movement and today’s transgender movement — namely that both are at home on the far-Left of the American political spectrum in that they undermine traditional family values. Also, the phenomenon isn’t even real.

On Aug. 2, he wrote in The Daily Signal that

Transgender rights activists are seeking to abridge parental rights by elevating the independent choices of young children. Respecting the sexual and gender “choices” of ever-younger children erodes parental rights and compromises the integrity of the family as an independent unit.

For that truth bomb, he himself was bombarded with negative responses from students, activists and even some staff members at the university. They are now doing what they always do when they hear an opinion they don’t like or agree with: They’re trying to get Yenor fired or shut down or preferably both.

Recently, someone filed a petition at change.org claiming that Yenor’s opinion is some kind of threat to “the existence of queer and non-binary folks” and that he’s “promoting rhetorical violence against their livelihood.”

Seriously, who talks like this other than brainwashed, programmed Leftists?

Anyway, the petition further claims that Yenor, a political science instructor with a Ph.D. and years of experience, is suddenly “unfit to teach” and that he is promoting “an ideology of violence,” which is “grounds for his dismissal.”

Of course, anyone with an IQ higher than that of a gnat can read Dr. Yenor’s column, and, even if they disagree, will see that he’s stating an opinion, learned as it may be, and that he’s not advocating any “violence” or threatening anyone’s “existence.”

Here’s what Dr. Yenor’s also not doing: He’s not advocating that students and faculty who disagree with him be dismissed from the school or otherwise silenced. In fact, merely by writing his columns he invites debate and promotes discussion — he doesn’t quell or dismiss it.

That said, the university has announced there are no plans to fire Dr. Yenor, as The College Fix reported. But that doesn’t mean the angry and unrelenting little Leftists are leaving him alone. In fact, they’re doing everything they can to deny him rights in ways they would never accept if someone were attempting to do the same thing to them.

In an interview with The Daily Signal, Dr. Yenor related a now-familiar story on today’s college campuses in the Leftist response to opposing political opinions. Namely, he says that “there has been a very chilling effect on not only my speech, but those who would speak in defense of me both on the substance, and on the principle of academic freedom.” (Related: The Rational Argument Against The Normalization Of Transgenderism.)

The abuse really began after the Boise State School of Public Service posted his Aug. 2 article on its Facebook page. After that, the dean of schools, Corey Cook, was inundated with negative reactions from students and LGBT activists.

Then he caved like every other Left-wing coward running a major university these days. He wrote on the public service school’s Facebook page that while Dr. Yenor has a right to publish, his work somehow violated the institution’s quest for diversity and civility.

Never mind that the actual response of the angry Left is in and of itself a violation of the institution’s quest for diversity and civility.

On American college campuses, there is no such thing as free speech anymore, as evidenced by dozens of people like Dr. Yenor who dare to harbor opinions that challenge any Left-wing orthodoxy.
