Your home might be ready for winter, but can your body truly say the same?

You’re convinced you’re ready for winter. Your holiday preparations are all in place, and you’ve got a good stock of firewood and food on hand to get yourself through the cold winter months, even if you have to spend some time without power. But are you sure you’ve thought of everything?

Even the most meticulous planners tend to overlook a crucial component of winter readiness: prepping your body for the cold winter months. In a recent interview with Jason Van Tatenhove of Oath Keepers, alternative health expert and founder of Natural News, Mike Adams, also known as the Health Ranger, detailed how people can ready themselves for this time of year, which is notoriously harsh on the body.

Adams outlined the healthiest ways to stock up on all-important body fat, how to use lard for emergency survival, and the role that meat should play in one’s diet. He also discusses the importance of having good reserves of Vitamin D and Zinc to help ward off the colds and flu viruses that often strike at this time of year. Adams also delves into the important topic of antibiotics before talking a bout some current events such as the ISIS attacks in Paris. The 47 minutes it takes to listen to the interview could end up coming in quite useful this winter.
